I've been working on back-up stories for the upcoming Marvel mini-series Power Pack Day One, scheduled to begin in March! Each of the four issues will have a two-page "Power Focus", in which each of the Power kids explains the basic physics of the force of nature he or she controls. Like so:

The strips are written by Fred Van Lente, who is no stranger to educational comics (see: Action Philosophers!) Fred is also the writer of the series' main story, with art by Gurihiru.

This is the first work I've done written by someone I've not yet met, which was kinda scary at first. But it's always fun to work with a writer who will trust your ability to cartoon characters based on such cosmic ideas as "The Sun", "The Universe", and "The Big Bang"!

Interesting that Van Lente conceptualizes orbits as failed escapes; I think of then as falls that always over-shoot.

I always thought the Power Pack kids books looked like marshmallows.

Colleen, Your drawings of children are so painfully cute.

Keep up the great work!
